The Good Life

I've had so much fun this Fall semester, and I can credit so much of that to the Chapman Greek Life community. From winning Greek Week, to participating in various fraternity and sorority events, this semester hast turned out to be the best one yet. Recently we had our fall semi-formal, Delta Gamma Crush Party. It was at a beautiful venue called the Orange Hill Restaurant, and it looked over the entire city. From chocolate fountains to the great dance floor, it was one of my favorite nights of the semester. I feel so lucky to live in a place that is so close to gorgeous venues like that, and to have such a fun Greek Community with exciting events! Spending a night with my sisters and our dates? It doesn't get much better than that :)

Chapman Service

Service is encouraged on any college campus, but at Chapman it is a way of life. Chapman offers programs to allow students to be able to make a difference in the community side by side with other students. I had the pleasure of experiencing the incredible dedication to service of this university at Chapman Day of Service. Students were able to serve in a multitude of ways ranging from restoring books for a child’s afterschool program to creating a community garden. As a student who has been dedicated throughout my life, it is so refreshing to see hundreds of young people who are equally dedicated to bettering the community in which they live. Chapman’s strong emphasis on service is a reflection of the university as a whole. We are a school that promotes becoming a well-rounded individual that will use his or her college education to work toward the betterment of society. To celebrate the Chapman’s 150th Anniversary, the school committed to completing 150,000 service hours, and after Chapman Day of Service, we exceeded that goal. I am proud as ever to be a Chapman student and I look forward to serving with this student body for years to come!
