In The Fast Lane

It’s safe to say that this week I have a lot of blood in my coffee stream. In every spare moment between work and class I find myself in line at Einsteins or Jazzmans trying to get my coffee fix that is slowly but surely becoming more and more less effective and tasting more and more like juice. I’ve gone from drinking 3 bottles of smart water a day to drinking 4 ice coffees a day; needless to say my body is feeling a little over caffeinated and frazzled. I probably sound like I’m living off of 3 hours of sleep, am over worked and on the borderline of a breakdown but, truth is, I am actually sitting at a very low stress level with a high percentile of happiness. My classes are great, one of them is named Disney and Darwin so I definitely can’t go wrong there, and each of my professors have their own little quirks. I’m living in an apartment with 3 awesome people and I recently got my drivers license, a few years late I know, but rather late than never. Despite that I am still car-less I did recently sign up for the ZipCar program so I’m looking forward to receiving that information in the mail so I can start “zipping” around as they say. If I really think about it I probably have no need for coffee in my life, I’ve just been conditioned to buy it whenever I can, just like I’ve now been conditioned to think that I need to get a bagel at Einstein’s whenever I am in the Student Union. Lets just say that by the way that I’m swiping my ID card like its an unlimited American Express I’m going to be panther buck broke in t-minus 2 weeks. I blame the bagels.
