The first day of sorority recruitment was just 3 days ago, a nerve-wrecking experience for both active sorority members and potential new members. I never rushed until my junior year because quite frankly I had no idea what sororities did or why I would want to be in one. But seeing Chapman's Greek spirit made me change my mind and left me itching to partake in all the fun competitions and activities which were put on by Greek life. Unlike many other college campuses, Chapman's Greek community is much more focused on academics and exciting events than on 24/7 partying and drunkenness; there are spoil weeks instead of hazing/hell weeks; your brothers and sisters motive and inspire you to excel, build ties with your community and be a leader. So even though the long hours of this weekend might seem daunting, it's all worth it in the end when you have 70 beautiful new sisters!- Florencia
